PURPLE FASHION: ARTIST SERIES
Purple is a bi-annual publication founded in 1992 by art collector Elein Fleiss and art critic Olivier Zahm. The couple sought to offer a new take on art press as they weren’t satisfied with what was in print at the time. Purple has had different phases of print through its life touching on various mediums of art, travel and sex. Purple Prose being the initial title of the publication; they’ve used Purple as an umbrella to express interests such as Purple Fiction, Le Purple Journal, Purple Travel, Purple Sexe and Purple Book. Artists are invited to show a body of work as a supplement booklet included with the fashion magazine. The artist series have now become collectible books as they were all works made in limited production from the 2000’s to now.
